Are we living in the End Times?

This has been debated through the years, but are we living in the end of times? Scripture gives us many verses pointing to the signs leading up to the second coming of Jesus Christ. Many prophecies tell of these signs?

So, the question is, are these the times and do the prophecies prove or disprove this?

With all the events that are happening, earthquakes, cyclones, famines, diseases, wars and rumors of wars, is this what the Bible is stating when it discusses the end of times?

I believe the end time message has been overstated. Jesus says it will come like a thief in the night. I believe a lot of people misinterpret this to mean destruction of the earth which is simply not so. We should seek out and find the gifts that the Holy Spirit has for us and insure that the message that Jesus gave us is spread to all. Jesus said believe in my prophets and you shall prosper.

In some passages of the Bible, based on the translation, it lends credence to the destruction of the earth, but the Greek meaning actually means 'renewal' of the earth, not it's destruction. So, in reality, God renews the eart at the end time.

The earth is renewed as it was in the beginning, without sin, being perfect with Jesus being Lord and Master. Before that happens though, there will be severe destruction upon the earth in the form of wars, disasters such as famine, earthquakes and such - the pouring out of God's wrath against the antichrist. However, God will make that time short for His people who have come to Him during that time period.

There are many debates about the end of times. Pre-trib, mid-trib and post-trib. Depending on who you talk to, they get their interpretation from different verses in the Bible. However, if you take what Daniel, Revelations, Ezekial and a few other books have to say, it lends more to a renewal of the earth and not a destruction.
